Ven. Nawala Lakkana Thero

 

Profile

       Ven. Lakkana Thero is a member of The Kanduboda International Insight meditation center in Sri Lanka. He took his higher ordination as a Buddhist monk under the most Ven. K . Pemasiri Thero and served as a meditation teacher at the Kanduboda Center for some time. He had also served at the Colombo Marcarthy Meditation Center as a meditation teacher. He is the Chief Incumbent of The Pancha Stupa forest Hermitage at Galgamuwa in Lanka.

      He had spent most of his time there helping the village people to find peace and happiness through mental cultivation. He had also practiced different meditation techniques under many teachers in Thailand. Achaan Lee Dhammadaro, Lompo Pannath at Wat Sainam, Achaan Passano at Wat Phananachat in North East Thailand and the teacher of Wat boon Kanchana Ram at Pattaya are some of them.

      He was served at The Washington Buddhist Vihara as a meditation Master and moved down to a branch monastery in California which is known as LA Buddhist Vihara. At present he is serving as a meditation master at this monastery and also perform other religious activities under the Abbot Ven. Ahangama Dhamma Rama Maha Thero.
